The Average Person Encounters Five Bugs a Week

If someone says they wouldn’t hurt a fly, they might just be outsourcing that job to someone else.

A new poll found the average person encounters a bug or pest five times a week.  And most of us WILL squish them if necessary.

But 20% would much rather report it, and let someone else do the squishing. The survey found we’re more likely to squish a bug if we find it inside our home, which makes sense.

But 12%… or one in eight people… feel it’s their “duty” to catch-and-release, and take the bug outside.  So some of us DO care.

A few of the top bugs we’ll immediately squish include beetles, cockroaches, and centipedes.

But only 16% said they usually squish spiders.

Speaking of spiders, the poll found 40% of us still believe the old myth that you swallow eight spiders a year in your sleep.  That’s not really true.  The actual number is right around zero.

Final stat:  The poll found the worst time and place to spot a bug in your home is in the kitchen when you’re in the middle of cooking.

AM Radio Waves can Help with ED

Scientists are shaking up the world of erectile dysfunction treatment with a new player in town—radio waves.

Recent research, as published in the International Journal of Impotence Research, has suggested that low-intensity radio frequency zaps to the nether regions could potentially be a game-changer for treating ED. Dr. Ilan Gruenwald, the mastermind behind this study, explains that when these radio waves are used at lower frequencies, they generate heat, which leads to some “structural changes” in penile tissue. Think collagen and elastic fibers—a recipe for success!

Over the course of two months, 32 men aged 41 to 78 decided to give this radio wave treatment a whirl. The result? A whopping 50% of them achieved “normal erectile function” post-treatment, with 11 men reporting “significantly improved” sexual function. Not too shabby!

The best part? No complaints of side effects, and the device was apparently a breeze to use.

This isn’t the only unconventional ED treatment out there. We’ve got quick-acting nasal sprays, Botox, and even the quest for better sleep quality as potential cures. Insomnia, vaping, and too much “adult content” might be linked to ED.

ED can be caused by a variety of factors like alcohol use, diabetes, obesity, and more. So, it might be time to consider some lifestyle changes, like regular exercise, stress reduction, and staying away from tobacco, alcohol, and drugs. Who knew that radio waves could be the shockingly good solution we’ve been waiting for?

To-do List Conundrum

You know that to-do list you’ve got scribbled on the corner of your desk or maybe tucked away in your phone? It turns out, a lot of us have a little secret when it comes to our to-do lists.

Someone polled 10,000 Americans about their to-do list habits, and guess what? A whopping 43% admitted they’ve added things they’ve already done, just for the sheer joy of crossing them off.

You may be saying, “Wait, what? I’ve never done that!” Well, don’t worry; you’re not alone. About 47% of folks claim they’ve never indulged in this delightful to-do list trick, and around 10% aren’t sure or can’t remember. (And hey, not remembering if you’ve ever done it? Well, that’s a to-do list item itself!)

The survey didn’t dive deep into the “why” of it all, but maybe it’s just procrastination, trying to make us feel like we’ve accomplished more than we really have. Or maybe we’ve achieved something significant but didn’t add it to the list, and why deny ourselves the sweet satisfaction of ticking it off?

Over half of those 45 and under confessed to this list-crossing caper, while only 26% of the wise and experienced 65 and up folks said they’ve dabbled in it.

The to-do list conundrum: to add or not to add, that is the question! And if you do add, just remember, it’s all in the name of feeling that sweet, sweet accomplishment.
